In a surprising crossover event that challenges usual forecasts, the game developer has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized announcement, "A strange meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and fearsome changes reverberate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine sect.

The questline focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
